Autumn Challenge

I'm loving these fun files from Scrapping Bug Designs!  It's so fun to combine them to make the cutest projects.



For this autumn decoration I used:
1 part of the hanging canvas set from the Silhouette Store

September Guest Designer at Scrapping Bug Designs

A Little Crazy Fun =)

Welcome to our Crazy Dog and Cupcake Blog Hop!  What started out as a random idea for a blog hop turned into a funny theme!  We threw out some ideas on different "odd observances" in the up coming months ~ one being National Dog Day and the other Cupcake Day ~ everyone seemed to like these two themes so we put it to a vote!  Who would have thought it would have turned into a tie?!  So we voted once more ~ thanks to Pamela's creative thinking, she put the two together.  What could be more fun than working with dogs and cupcakes!  So sit back and enjoy the fun and creative projects the group has put together for you today!

 I really had so much fun creating my project for today!  Who would have thought putting these two ideas together could be such fun?!  So I created a little cupcake box all decorated in dog and cupcake paper.  I even added a fun dog hiding behind a cupcake to the side.  I even uncovered the Cuttlebug to do a little embossing on the cupcake ~ then sanded it for added fun =)  I have a friend who is celebrating her dog's birthday this weekend and plan on picking up her pooch a little something from the doggy bakery we have =)

Can you believe that summer is already over? September is here and our Kiddo’s are going back to school! Welcome to our Back to School Blog Hop. This is such a scary and exciting time for the kids and parents. This is our way to say Thank You to the teachers and to share our special memories. Who doesn’t have boxes and boxes of artwork, report cards, pictures, and sweet valentines from our kids, grandchildren, nieces or nephews? I love to look back at them over the years. And if your kids are just starting out, get a huge box; you are going to need it!

Our back to school was almost a month ago and it's so hard to believe my son is a freshmen in high school and my step-son is now in 6th grade!  Oh how the years fly by!  Back to school is just another day in our house ~ no special rituals or celebrations, but it's still a special time as we get to watch our kids grow.  For my project today I made this adorable little pencil box!  I'm a HUGE fan of Bear Hugs files and was so excited to use this one!  Be sure to stop by and grab this freebie before it's gone =)

Watermelon Crawl Blog Hop

Welcome to The Watermelon Crawl Blog Hop! Who doesn’t like to bite into a red, ripe, juicy watermelon on a hot summer day? Yum!!!! If you drive down South, you can find people selling them on the side of the road, out of their pick-up trucks. I think these are the best, because they come right out of the garden.  You will always find a cute watermelon cut out at a baby shower or wedding shower, we eat them on the 4th of July, and we make sherbet and wine. You will find them in our kitchens; on our walls, curtains and cookie jars. All of the challenges will require you to use a die-cut on your project and additional themes or requirements may be added as well.
(For example, a Fourth of July project would require a die-cut somewhere on the project in addition to something Americana themed.)

Tribute to Dick Clark

Welcome to our Tribute to Dick Clark, American Band Stand, 50's Style Blog Hop!! 

Who remembers getting up on Saturday mornings to dance along to the American Bandstand?  The actual American Bandstand show started on August 5, 1957. This is why we decided to bring this hop all the way back to the 50’s. So sit back, shake your booty, do the hula hoop, or have a Coke float and come hop with us.

Since I was not around to watch American Bandstand, the music from that era has impacted my life.  Both my parents were born in the late 50's and I vividly recall growing up listening to the Beatles, Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Buddy Holly, and many others.  I have always enjoyed the music of that era and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.  For my project I made this adorable stack of records container.  The glasses are my favorite part of this project ~ I remember wanting a pair of these as a kid =)   (Yes, I have been called a flower child and still love all that was about that era, despite never being a part of it!)
