Winter Fun

Have y'all tried no-line coloring yet?!? You can accomplish that even with digital stamps.  I used the adorable Clumbsy Claude to create a fun winter themed card.  Kinda takes me back to crazy days of skating and skiing down our neighbors hill.

To get the no-line look, I turned the transparency down in my Silhouette Studio software, almost to the point you could barely see the image.  Print that on pencil paper.  The print another copy at full transparency on regular paper.  You can put the original image under the lightly printed image to help see the lines.

It's a fun way to color these adorable images!  I chose to add a night sky to my image, resembling Northern Lights.  Oh how I miss seeing those!!

My color choices for this card:
Skin ~ Nectar, Peach, Light Peach, Blush Pink, Deco Pink and White

Christmas Cutie

Before we know it, the holiday season will be upon us and some will be scrambling to get those Christmas cards done for year.  I decided to start early, so I wasn't waiting until the last minute.  I love this adorable image from LeAnn's World 101 (link to her Etsy store here).  I knew she'd make a cute Christmas card.

I colored her with my Zig markers, which really made for a fun image when complete.  I followed this simple sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, Sketch #36.  They have a ton of sketches if you are ever in a bind for a card layout.

Here you can see the bling I added to the cuffs of her boots and hat.

My color choices on this image are as follows:
Outfit ~ Light Green, Deep Red, May Green, Emerald Green, Wine Red and Carmine Red
Skin ~ Flesh Colour and Oatmeal
Hair ~ Medium Brown and Dark Brown
Holly ~ Light Green, Olive Green and Red

Burnin' Love

It's been a little while since I shared any coloring projects... been busy creating beautiful quilts.  But I've finally managed to finish these little cuties.  I love the look of no-line coloring and thought I'd give it a whirl on these stamps.

Since I have the digital versions of the stamps, I had to drop the transparency for the lines to be very, very light.  I printed them on my pencil paper and then printed another copy like normal on printer paper.  This way, I could put that under the pencil paper to see where the lines were.  I colored the cuties with Prisma Pencils (color combos at the end of this post).  Once colored, I used the metal die and ran them through my BigShot.

I also created the cute banner using the digital file for the Weekend Stamp/Die set.  I added my text inside the banner then printed that on cardstock.  Run those through my BigShot and I'm ready to assemble my card.

Isn't it a cute card?!?

And the inside of the card....

Who doesn't love ice cream?!

Afternoon crafty peeps!  It's been a little bit since I've created with paper ~ been super busy finishing up some quilting projects and starting a new quilt.  Quilting is my favorite hobby and I love the ability to create beautiful keepsakes.  So that's where I've been lol.

When I saw the current freebie from KaDoodle Bug Designs, I thought it would make a super cute birthday card. It's so cute you can use it for any type of card or a scrapbook layout.

Told ya it was a cutie! lol  So I cut all my pieces like normal on my Cameo machine.

This time around, I chose to distress my edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  I generally only use ColorBox Chalks, but thought I would try something new this time.  I did use 4 of my chalks as I didn't have the colors close to them in Distress Ink ~ guess that gives a reason to add to my collection!

I then assembled my adorable bear and added all the little details.

I wanted to keep the card a little simple, so I went with a soft grey background and added balloons to the corners.  I used the adorable Weekend Stamp and Die set from Sweet Stamp Shop to stamp my simple sentiment on.  Love the final look of this card.
